GUEST COOLCAT: MARCO DOS SANTOS

MarcoMarco is an original Ed Banger relative.
He is a deep individual with a multifaceted personality.

imageA friend of the stars, who also happens to be an amazing PHOTOGRAPHER.
He shot every single Ed Banger artist for press pics, this one for example:

Or this one, of real tough love:

And even this hardcore street shot of yours truly:

4105_29When I asked him to do a guest photo post for Coolcats,
he didn’t know if the emphasize should be on TALENT:

LYNCHOr else, on witnessing HISTORY IN THE MAKING:

Thank you Mr DOS SANTOS for gracefully immortalizing this world,
Your friends at Ed Banger/Coolcats.

GUEST COOLCAT: CLARA 3000

image81image101image161image181image211image231image261image311

Peeps, meet CLARA 3000.
When she’s not interning at the Rainbow People Coalition Party (aka ED BANGER RECORDS), Clara’s representing Paris DJ-ing future around the world and around the clock. She’s also the most amazing dancehall dancer at the office. And last but not least, she’s the great silent observer of the crew and the author of those pictures above (from the Sonar/Ibiza lost weekend). One day she might write a non-authorized book on the rise and fall of the Club75, you’ll better believe it.

GUEST COOLCAT: COSMO VITELLI

(Cosmo Vitelli is one of them guys)

    Peoples,

 Another bank holiday, another guest,

COSMO VITELLI is a longtime fellow of the Paris Football Club, a consistently good producer, and one serious connoisseur of french popular music. (French sidenote: Cosmo connait le nom des auteurs, producteurs et ingénieurs du son de tous les albums de Michel Sardou par exemple).

Cosmo also gets bonus points for having two things that I personally love in any producer: a side-project and a blog.

I asked him to put up a special Coolcats Edition of his SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND series. The idea is to post five songs every friday without naming them, five songs to escort you through the weekend, and only revealing track id the next friday-Get it? Addictive as Strawberry YOP drink.

Stay tuned for track names revealed next week then—and in the meantime, please go check Cosmo’s latest production, ‘Arab Drift’ by BOT’OX.

    Bonjour Monsieur Vitelli,

GUEST COOLCAT: A MESSAGE FROM Mr BLISS

Who better than the one and only VICARIOUS BLISS to introduce our new GUEST COOLCAT blogging section?

In his native english, Andy says:

” KRAZY BALDHEAD    ’Sweet Night’    Vicarious Bliss Psychebabble Rework
If you click on ‘Vicarious Bliss Pop Experience’ in my Top friends, you’ll get put through to the sleeping page that was put up for the one-off single thingy that I did with HEADBANGIRL a while back. Now you can hear a rework I’ve done of Krazy Baldhead’s mega-amazing ‘Sweet Night’.
It’s not really Vicarious Bliss (or is it ?!) but rather just something that I did for fun to mess around with orchestrations and backwards guitars and violins and chocolate muffins and my teddy-bear, with the intention of trying to annoy cousin Babble (it worked, kind of, but we still talk…).
Some of you know that I sometimes like to ‘get the f**king violins out’, kind of like on the reworks I’ve done for Cazals on Kitsuné 5 and the second Ladytron ‘Softpower’ remix in the past.
So, no, you can’t dance to it. You can’t even tap your toe to it. But that’s not the point. Is it ?

PS – new VB tracks are GO, almost… ”
